What’s New for the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

In 2021, the Jeep Grand Cherokee has the same aesthetic and mechanical features in 2020. However, there are a few trim-specific modifications this year. In 2021, the Limited trim can be accessorized with a new 80th Anniversary Edition package. All trims still benefit from the Grand Cherokee’s most robust features, including a lavish interior loaded with tech features and luxury. The Grand Cherokee also has impressive off-road capabilities and generous power with a V8 engine.

The Jeep Grand Cherokee comes in seven trims in 2021. The first trim is the Laredo. A stylish and connected ride awaits in the Laredo, which has large 18-inch wheels and chrome accents. The Laredo has dual-zone climate control and a seven-inch display with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Multiple driver-assist safety aids are standard, too, including rear parking sensors, rear cross-traffic monitoring, and blind-spot monitoring.

The Limited adds new features this year through the 80th-anniversary package. With the Limited, you’ll now get a standard sunroof, a more extensive 8.4-inch infotainment system, a WiFi hotspot, leather upholstery, and more power-operated features, including a driver’s seat with memory settings and a liftgate. The Trailhawk returns with exceptional off-road handling and capability. This trim pairs 18-inch wheels with all-terrain tires, and it has enhanced four-wheel drive. Heated back-row seats and ventilated front seats are added. The Overland gets xenon headlights and 20-inch wheels. The Summit adds chrome accents, upgraded leather seats, and more safety amenities. You’ll get a standard V8 engine with the SRT, a sport-tuned suspension, high-performance brakes, and custom 20-inch aluminum wheels. Standard safety features on the Grand Cherokee include parking sensors, rear cross-traffic alert, and blind-spot monitoring. Adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, and parallel parking assist are additional safety aids added to the top trims.

All-wheel drive and four-wheel drive are available for the 2021 Grand Cherokee. The first engine is a 3.6L V6 that creates 295 HP. An available V8 engine follows with a maximum power capacity of 360 HP. This engine is offered on the Trailhawk, Summit, and Overland. The SRT gets a separate engine, a 6.4L V8 that achieves a power output of 470 HP and 475 LB-FT of torque. The Trackhawk can be configured with a supercharged 6.2L V8 engine that produces an astonishing 707 HP.
